Corporate gifting comes in waves. Quiet months give way to Dashain, Tihar and New Year orders landing at once: a bank wants 300 hampers with its logo on the diary, a hotel needs 80 gift boxes by Friday, and individuals want a single box for a colleague. You're buying from a dozen suppliers, assembling boxes on the floor and trying to remember which companies have paid.
This guide covers what software a corporate gifts business needs, how Saauzi handles orders, stock and an online store, and the gaps to know about before peak season.
What software a corporate gifts business actually needs
- A catalog of items and ready gift sets, with variants such as mug colour or diary size.
- Bulk billing with discounts and a proper VAT/PAN bill a company's accounts team will accept.
- Stock of both parts and finished sets, especially in the weeks before a festival.
- Supplier records across printers, wholesalers and importers, and what you've paid each.
- An online store for individuals and small offices ordering a few boxes.
- A cash book that shows whether the season made money.
How POS Shop, Online Store and Cashbook cover it
Choose the corporate gifts industry at sign-up and Saauzi switches on POS Shop, Online Store and Cashbook, sharing one product catalog, one stock count and one book. You can add other apps later from the hub.
Products and gift sets
Add single items, such as diaries, pens, mugs and dry-fruit packs, and ready sets like a "Dashain premium hamper" as products, with variants where an item comes in several colours or sizes.
POS Shop for bulk orders
A 300-hamper order is a few lines on one bill: search the products, enter quantities, apply the agreed discount and take payment, including a split across cash and wallet. The bill carries your business name, address and PAN/VAT, printed or sent digitally, and reduces stock straight away. Best-sellers and slow movers show what to buy more of next season and what to clear.
Hampers and their parts
There's no bill of materials, so assembling a hamper doesn't deduct its parts automatically. Two options work:
- Assemble into stock. After packing 100 hampers, record adjustments: minus 100 each for the diary, pen and dry-fruit pack, plus 100 for the hamper. The stock history shows both sides.
- Bill the parts. For a one-off custom order, put each item on the bill as its own line, so stock falls item by item.
Supplier purchases
Record each delivery as a purchase entry against the supplier and track purchase payments, so you know what you owe the printer before they ask. Check the low-stock list weeks before Dashain, not days. Our guide to inventory and purchasing in one system covers the routine.
Online Store for smaller buyers
The Saauzi Online Store is a branded, mobile-first storefront you style without code, selling ready gift boxes from the same stock as corporate orders. Customers pay by eSewa, Khalti, card or cash on delivery.
Cashbook for the season
Every sale posts to Cashbook automatically. Record printing, packaging and courier costs by category across cash, bank and wallet accounts. Income vs expense by category shows whether the festival season paid off. It's a digital khata with exports for your accountant, not full accounting software.
A Dashain season, with hypothetical numbers
- August: a bank's HR team asks for 300 hampers. You send a quotation from your usual template, since Saauzi doesn't produce quotes.
- Early September: 300 diaries arrive at NPR 450 each (NPR 135,000), plus pens and dry-fruit packs from two other suppliers. You record each purchase entry and part-payment.
- Mid-September: the team packs 300 hampers and you record the adjustments.
- Late September: you bill the bank for 300 hampers with the agreed discount, and that set's stock drops to zero.
- Throughout: 45 gift boxes sell online, paid by eSewa and Khalti.
- After Tihar: slow movers show 60 mugs left, so you discount them online, and Cashbook compares the season's income with its spending.
A checklist for choosing corporate gifts software
- Can one bill handle hundreds of units with a discount?
- Does the bill show the details your clients' accounts teams need?
- Can you handle sets made from several items?
- Do corporate and online orders share one stock?
- If companies pay 30 days after delivery, how does the system record what each client owes?
Where Saauzi fits and where it doesn't
Saauzi fits gift businesses that buy in, assemble and sell, and want corporate orders, online sales and cash in one place. The Saauzi page for corporate gifts businesses shows how the apps fit together. To track corporate enquiries, add CRM: leads with company, deal value and expected close date move through stages to won or lost, with follow-up calls and tasks.
- No quotations or estimates. Send quotes from your own template.
- No production planning, BOM or recipes. Hamper assembly and branding jobs rely on adjustments and your own planning.
- No delivery management for sending gifts to many addresses.
- No client portal or e-signatures.
- Not full accounting, and no VAT return filing.
If most of your work is custom manufacturing at volume, or you need a formal quote-to-invoice workflow, a heavier ERP is the better choice; see what an ERP is for a small business.
What it costs
Your first app is free forever. One flat subscription unlocks every Saauzi app, CRM included, for NPR 1,500 per user per month or NPR 12,000 per user per year (US$20 or US$200 internationally), with no commission on sales. Two users on the yearly plan would pay NPR 24,000 a year. See the pricing page.
FAQ
Can I send quotations from Saauzi?
No. Send quotes from your own template, then bill the confirmed order in POS Shop.
Can I track corporate clients and follow-ups?
Yes, by adding CRM from the hub: a pipeline of leads with deal values, stages and follow-up activities.
Will the bill show my PAN/VAT?
Yes. Bills print your business name, address and PAN/VAT, using the tax you set once in Settings.
If your festival orders, supplier bills and cash are scattered across chats and spreadsheets, see how the three apps work together on the Saauzi corporate gifts page, or start with one app free well before the next festival rush.
